Nova-Tech Engineering , a worldwide leader in hatchery and agricultural automation solutions located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN, has a full-time employment opportunities available to join their Manufacturing Team in the role of Inventory Clerk . JOB OBJECTIVE STATEMENT

The primary objective of the Inventory Clerk is to provide materials to designated locations as scheduled and/or requested through the Inventory Supervisor. A second objective is to ensure NTE’s inventory is highly accurate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive shipments from suppliers. Unpack, ensure shipment matches purchase order and log into the NTE inventory computer system.
  • Places materials in appropriate locations (Stock Shelves, Lifts, etc)
  • Create kits for production orders
  • Replenish Kan-Ban Bins
  • Fills Parts Requests orders
  • Compiles and maintains records of quantity, and type, of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment: Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer.
  • Creates and posts movement and transfer journals (ex: for Kan Bans, Parts Requests)
  • Assist with periodic Inventory Cycle Counting (to ensure accuracy of the inventory)
  • Notify Inventory Supervisor of discovered inaccuracies
  • Follow all NTE policies, procedures and applicable laws
  • Work overtime as requested by supervisor
  • Recognize and comply with all safety rules. Hearing and Eye protection will be worn when required.
  • Promote continual improvement culture
  • Other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES

  • Maintain a high level of physical energy during the work day as the tasks of moving materials from location to location demand this
  • A high level of skill for attention to details is a must since the production scheduling process is highly dependent on the accuracy of inventory.
  • Reading and logistical skills must be strong.
  • Will be required to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends during periodic inventory counting activities.
  • Proactive communication skills and follow through on assignments
  • Demonstrate basic PC skills (ex: e-mail, Inventory Management System)

Nova-Tech Engineering, a leader in hatchery automation solutions, is looking for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to help develop leading edge equipment.  The core responsibilities of the position include generating print layouts, completing equipment assembly drawings, assisting in the completion of specifications, bills of materials, working closely with Product Engineers, and assuring part and product manufacturability.

Experience & Education Required:

  • 2 year Associate level/Technical degree in Drafting/Design
  • 5+ years of experience in the fields of product design and development
  • Experience using Solid Works design software is ideal; will consider competency using other industry design tools

The Sales & Marketing Department at Nova-Tech Engineering has a newly created ScrumMaster opportunity available for the right individual, who will play a mission critical role within the department and overall organization. This ScrumMaster will initially be working with two teams of traveling account managers.

The ScrumMaster is a servant-leader for the Agile Team and is responsible for ensuring that Agile practices are understood and enacted. ScrumMasters do this by ensuring that the Team, Product Owners, and stakeholders adhere to Agile values, practices, and rules. The ScrumMaster coaches the Agile Team and those outside the team so everyone changes their interactions to maximize the product value created by the Team. Along with current ScrumMasters this position will work with cross-functional Development Teams and Product Owner to uphold Agile Principles and Values, the Agile Framework; and the NTE Vision, Purpose, and Values.

Nova-Tech Engineering has a full-time opportunity in their Shipping & Receiving Department.  

Nova-Tech Engineering was founded in 1992 and began as one person's passion to benefit the agricultural industry.  Through innovative process automation technology, the company engineers and manufactures products that serve over 500 commercial poultry hatcheries in 50 countries worldwide.  Headquartered in Willmar, MN, on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus, Nova-Tech Engineering employs over 170 people, in a variety of roles and expertise.

This role is responsible for the daily activities involved in order processing and the fulfillment of a variety of mechanical parts.  Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a shipping or parts department and has strengths related to organization, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and customer service.  A positive personality is also a must!

Summary of Core Responsibilities:

  •          Parts order processing and order fulfillment domestically and internationally
  •          Inventory control
  •      Working with third party shipping vendors such as:  UPS, FedEx, LTL
  •         Communicating with and serving the needs of internal customers 
  •          Assemble and prepare packages for shipment
  •          Process and authorize returns and small parcels
  •          Enter customer and shipping data into software applications; general records keeping

 Core Competencies Required:

  •          Confidence using Microsoft Office Software such as:  Outlook, Word, and Excel
  •          Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
  •          Previous experience with inventory and/or parts management
  •      Previous international shipping experience highly desired
