This particular role will be responsible for the service, training, education, and installation of NTE's automated processing equipment, both domestically and internationally. Your role is critical as a key representative through continued sales, marketing and customer service.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, and/or Business.
  • An Associate's level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor's level degree is PREFERRED.
  • A Mechanical/Technical aptitude is highly preferred.
  • Excellence in Communication, Account Management, and Presentation Skills.
  • The availability and flexibility to travel both domestically (in the U.S.A.) and internationally for periods up to two weeks at a time and 14 weeks per year.
  • Bilingual capabilities preferred but not required.

This role does not necessarily require that you have previous assembly experience, however, we will require that you demonstrate a great attitude, work ethic, problem-solving skills, commitment to quality, and align with our core company values.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years solid work history.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English. You'll be reading documents and instructions in English and must be able to communicate with others verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate independent thought processes in order to solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to handle and assemble small mechanical or electrical parts.

CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Hourly Schedule: Full-Time (Second Shift) Job Description & Apply Now

Nova-Tech Engineering, a worldwide leader in hatchery and agricultural automation solutions located on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN, has full-time employment opportunities available to join their Manufacturing Team in the role of CNC Machinist on the 2nd Shift.  Nova-Tech is a thriving organization with a unique culture and fantastic environment to work in. This shift runs from 2:00PM - 2:00AM, Monday - Wednesday and 2:00 PM- midnight Thursday (no weekends).   This role is responsible for setup, prove out and running production parts in a repetitive batch environment on CNC lathes and multi axis mills such as Okuma, Fadal, Toyoda Bridgeport etc. Machinists are a key member of a team striving to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

 

Core Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Set up and run horizontal or vertical CNC machines and/or CNC Lathes
• Prepare jobs in the machine tools so that machine operators can run batches in an efficient manner
• Ability to determine best inspection process and uses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality. Responsible for adherence to 1st Articles and Quality Inspection Plans.
• Ability to machine prototype parts with minimum supervision and without formal prints
• Ability to create and troubleshoot CNC programs on machine controls for prototype parts
• Verifies operations to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by the production order or area Leader
• Ability to select and set up tooling for a new job and trouble shoot tooling issues on existing jobs

Competencies Required:

• Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC multi axis machine tools
• Ability to edit part programs
• Able to read, understand, and analyze Engineering drawings
• Ability to use precision measuring tools / instruments
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to operate a computer for logging time, data collection and pulling procedures
• Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

We have a flexible schedule internship opportunity available in our Machine Shop.  We will consider those students that are currently enrolled in a 2 year Machine and Tool program. We operate both manual and Computer Controlled multi-axis lathes and machining centers. 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Monday - Friday and 2nd shift runs 1:30 PM-12AM Monday- Thursday.   Interns have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule while attending school. Electronics Repair Technician

  • Find the cause of equipment malfunctions and repair to like new condition.

Schedule and Compensation Package:

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week.

Engineering Technician

Nova-Tech Engineering has two full-time opportunities in our engineering department for electro-mechanical technicians.  We are seeking talented people that enjoy thinking outside of the box, collaborating with a cross functional team, and are driven by change and new challenges.  This position will create, set-up, test, create reports, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild electrical and mechanical components for all of our equipment.  They will work collaboratively with our engineering, research, and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge with mechanical and electronics fundamentals, troubleshooting, and repair.  Fundamentals we are looking for are: an understanding of electronics like resistance, capacitance, TTL Logic, Multimeters, Oscilloscope Operation; ability to read Electrical Schematics, ability to read blue prints, ability to write reports and procedures,  mechanical aptitude and experience with tools and shop equipment.

Summary of Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepares specifications and reports for fabrication, assembly, and installation of apparatus and control instrumentation used to test experimental or prototype mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, or structural products, conducts tests and records results, utilizing engineering principles and test technology.
  • Confers with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and to review test plans, such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests.
  • Fabricates precision parts for test apparatus or interprets specifications for workers fabricating parts.
  • Examines parts for conformance with dimensional specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Activates controls to subject test item to successive steps in test cycle.
  • Monitors controls and instruments and records test date for engineer’s use.
  • Willing to bring forth and recommend changes in test methods or equipment for engineering review.
  • Adheres to system test standards guidelines, and practices.
  • Collaborates with team and works in Agile Scrum Framework.
  • Assists with Lab construction, maintenance, and housekeeping.
  • Able and willing to work with animals.

Technical Services- Level II Team Member

We are currently seeking applications for a full-time opportunity on our Customer Service Team in the role of Level II Technical Services Team Member.

This role will be responsible for a variety of customer and departmental technical support services such as engaging the clients with advanced troubleshooting, as well as assisting with the introduction of new product and services to the field.  This role requires an individual willing to seek out and create improvements on NTE’s various product lines, our processes, as well as our support tools. This individual must work well as a SCRUM team member, but also autonomously as travel is required (both domestic and international, up to 30%-40% of time). Your role is critical as a key representative through customer technical support and feeding valuable information to the engineering team.

Customer Support

  • Provide troubleshooting advice for our existing and new products for both domestic and international customers.
  • Support Account Managers with technical solutions, industry knowledge, schematics, and beak treat analysis.
  • Create documents such as parts catalogues, technical manuals, or troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train internal and external clients on technical aspects of NTE products such as proper use and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Technical Services email account.

New Product Development

  • Install and support pre-production engineering equipment.
  • Liaison with customers to establish test protocols to prove out our new product efficacy.
  • Submit timely and valuable feedback to engineering to further product development.

Data Analysis and Management

  • Utilize Customer Relation Management (CRM) Software to record customer events, interactions, and to manage customer information.
  • Determine, prioritize, and coordinate projects to improve data utilization and analysis (e.g., H.D.A. Alarm System).
  • Gather customers' machine data, generate useful reports, and effectively communicate the information to customers.

Education and Experience Background We Seek:

  • Professional verbal and written business communication proficiency is REQUIRED.
  • College level educational background related to Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, and/or Business.
  • An Associate's level degree is REQUIRED.  A Bachelor's level degree is PREFERRED.
  • A Mechanical/Technical aptitude is required.

  • The availability and flexibility to travel both domestically (in the U.S.A.) and internationally for periods up to two weeks at a time and 30%-40% of the year.
